National Training Inspectorate for Professional Dog Users

The key aims of the Inspectorate are to: -
1 Promote the professionalism of Security Dog Users
2 Formalise a suitable policy for training Security Dogs 
3 Regulate Security Dog Handlers in their operational duties 
4 Promote the training of Security Dog Users 
5 Regulate and maintain the training of Security Patrol Dogs 
6 Regulate and maintain the training of Specialist Dogs 
7 Ensure the safety and welfare of Security Dogs 
8 Detail strict licensing conditions 
9 Maintain set standards 
10 Assist the SIA in maintaining the PSI Act 2001 
11 Promote equal opportunities throughout the profession
