Molly
Meacher, Chairman of the SIA, was guest of honour at the official
opening of the latest NTIPDU training centre in Smallfield, Surrey
on June the 4th.
Molly
Meacher received a warm welcome from the invited guests, which
included representatives from IPSA, Camberford Law, ISSEE, JSIC,
End Users, Dog Handlers and other interested parties.
At
the event, sponsored by County Guard Dogs UK and John Humphris
Ltd, Molly stressed the need for improved training and standards
within the industry and applauded the initiative shown by the
likes of the NTIPDU and commented on all the hard work and
dedication they had displayed in providing the industry with an
attainable qualification.
Molly
presented a certificate of accreditation to Alan Dickinson of Von
Wolf Kennels and Patrick Somerville International Chairman of IPSA
presented the certificate for BJT to Alan Dickinson and said a
public congratulations to the NTIPDU on behalf of IPSA on the
achievement of establishing a training unit which will deliver
training to the highest standards.
After
Officially opening the training centre Molly said

was delighted to formally open the latest NTIPDU training centre
in Surrey on 4 June. I
greatly welcome the professional approach of the Directors of
NTIPDU and, in particular, their commitment to training standards
and their insistence upon continuation training and annual
accreditation of dog handlers.
I would like to wish them well for the future.”
‘Dog
Handlers from Wales, Somerset and Surrey, all of whom have
successfully completed the NTIPDU training course, provided
demonstrations of the control, safety, skills, dog care and
handling which are required to gain accreditation under the
scheme.
Ian
Green, NTIPDU said, ‘We are particularly pleased that Molly took
time out of her extremely busy schedule to officially open our
training facility. The SIA has a huge task in front of them and we
fully support their aims and objectives and stand ready to assist
in any way we can.’
